Architectural Visualization- 3ds Max, V-Ray

The Architectural Visualization course is designed for more complex 3D architectural visualizations, where more emphasis is put on organic approach to design.

This type of architecture is based on fluid forms that mimic natural topography of the landscape.
The course covers all the phases of visualization design process of Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by Zaha Hadid, from importing an AutoCAD drawing, modeling complex organic shapes, assigning V-Ray materials, lighting the scene, to the final render of the scene. Special attention was given to the lighting of an outdoor day and night scene. The last segment of the course is dedicated to the rendering of your model onto an existing photo background for more realistic results.
In this course, you will learn how to make the most of 3ds Max to turn your ideas into premium 3D presentations. Finally, you will learn how to optimize your scene to render faster while achieving excellent results.
The lecturer for this course is a certified Autodesk Certified Professional and an Autodesk Certified Instructor for 3ds Max.

Importing a CAD drawing
• Importing a CAD drawing, working with layers

Modeling Heydar Aliyev Center by Zaha Hadid
• Setting reference drawings in 3D space
• Modeling the shell of an object
• Modeling of glass facade
• Modeling of floor construction

Lighting an exterior day and night scene
• Exterior lighting with Corona Sun and Sky system and especially with the HDRI images and Light Mixer tools to generate day and night scene from a single rendered image

• Interior lighting with Corona Sun and Sky systems and the use of Light Mixer to generate day and night scene from a single rendered image

Creating Materials for Architectural Visualization
• Creating materials in a Node Editor: wood, concrete, glass, water, metal, tiles …
• Working with a material library (creating your own material library, importing predefined materials)

Image production
• Defining cameras with perspective settings for photo matching

Introduction to Animation
• Animating cameras and objects for architectural visualization

Upon completion of the course students will receive the internationally recognized Autodesk Certificate of Completion, as well as the Crater VFX Training Center Certificate.

Introduced to the world of architecture visualization by chance, Milić was helping his wife Marina with modeling some of her work in Rino software when he fell in love with the process. He has used visualization software for furniture, office, and residential space design, as well as 3D models, graphic presentations and workshop drawings – and continues to find new applications every day with his students. A graduate of the Academy of Applied Arts and Design, Milic provides training in 3ds Max, Teen 3ds Max and Architectural Visualization courses.
