Architectural Visualization

The Architectural Visualization course is designed for more complex 3D architectural visualizations, where more emphasis is placed on an organic approach to architectural design. This type of design is based on fluid forms that mimic natural forms.

The course covers all stages of the visualization process of the Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by Zaha Hadid. It starts by importing AutoCAD drawings, then modeling complex organic shapes, assigning materials, lighting the scene, and ends with a photorealistic presentation generated with one of the most popular plugins for architecture, V-Ray. Special attention is given to a lighting process of an outdoor day and night scene, which can be generated from a single image using the VRayLightMix tool. Part of the course is dedicated to matching your 3D model with an existing photographic background to get a complete impression of how the object will fit into the existing environment. The final stage of the course covers the animation techniques used in architecture.

In this course you will learn how to make the most of 3ds Max to turn your ideas into top-notch 3D presentations.

The lecturer for this course is a approved Autodesk Certified Instructor for 3ds Max.

Creating Materials for Architectural Visualization
• Creating materials in a Node Editor: wood, concrete, glass, water, metal, tiles …
• Working with a material library (creating your own material library, importing predefined materials)

Image production
• Defining cameras with perspective settings for photo matching

Introduction to Animation
• Animating cameras and objects for architectural visualization

Upon completion of the course students will receive the internationally recognized Autodesk Certificate of Completion, as well as the Crater VFX Training Center Certificate.

With thousands of educated trainees of all ages under his hat, Saša is an expert in IT-related education certified by Adobe and Autodesk. A consistently top-rated Autodesk instructor for Serbia, he was also licensed by the Institute for the Advancement of Education and Training to provide IT training to high school teachers. In collaboration with Computer Library Čačak, he has authored four AutoCAD instruction books.
A multi-talent, Saša also worked on various projects related to stage design, advertising, and business process monitoring software implementation. Formally educated as a Naval Architect at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, he has spent his life expanding his knowledge of computer graphics and its cross-industry applications. At Crater Training Center, he teaches AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD 3D, 3ds Max, Teen 3ds Max, Architectural Visualization, Photoshop, Teen Photoshop, Digital Editing and CreationArchitecture Student Module 1 and Architecture Student Module 2.
