Autodesk Revit MEP is design software for mechanical (M), electrical (E), and plumbing (P) engineers, a part of the Revit software package for Building Information Modeling (BIM).

BIM is an intelligent 3D model-based process that equips architecture, engineering, and construction professionals with the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure.
Revit support for BIM process allows multiple team members to work on the same project at the same time in a centrally shared 3D model. Revit has features for all disciplines involved in a building project, so everyone can use the same software, putting the project at the center and connecting participants.
Revit enables workflow for members of an extended project team. It imports, exports, and links data with commonly used formats, including IFC, DWG™ and DGN.
On this course you will learn how to use Revit MEP to design, model, and document electrical building systems with greater accuracy and in better coordination with architectural, structural, mechanical and plumbing components, using the coordinated and consistent information in the intelligent 3D model. Also, you will be able to conduct simulations and interference detection earlier in the design process and use conceptual energy analysis data for engineering-driven calculations.
