Digital Photography
Photography is the art of visual storytelling. It combines creativity with science and practice into one of the most contemporary and omnipresent forms of expression. The course is designed for both amateurs in everyday life and professionals in various careers - artists, designers, architects, hobbyists - anyone aiming to advance their knowledge and skills within the field of photography.

During this basic/intermediate intensive course, students will be introduced to the use of equipment, techniques and science behind it, which can range from the basics of optics and light (aperture, shutter speed, exposure), working procedures and photographic methods to a more in depth journey through the language (composition techniques). You will sharpen your visual eye, hone your photography skills, become aware of visual languages and at the same time explore creative approaches to photography, finally gaining the skills of creative image making.

Students will also learn about the role of digital photography in the visual effects industry. Some of the topics covered will include color correction, color grading, accurately photographing textures, spherical panoramic photography, high-dynamic range imaging (HDRi), working with camera files from RED and ALEXA cameras. Throughout the course, we will cover basic image processing and output techniques in Photoshop.

The Belgrade environment and all its visual wonders will provide the ideal setting to experiment in and emphasize the students' personal creative vision. The students will be taken for field trips to put into practice the concepts learnt throughout the lessons. Students will also be taken to a professional studio. The learning is a fusion of theoretical lessons, field trips and practical workshops.

The course leader is our famous photographer Dragan Kujundzic, who in his long-standing career has worked for some of the most famous and popular magazines including Newsweek, Time, New York Times, Herald Tribune, USA Today and more.

Taking your own digital SLR (dSLR) camera is desirable, but 5 cameras are available on loan from the school on a first come first served basis.

Good Start

I think this course was a very good start especially at allowing the user overcome the very daunting look of the interface. (And people think Blender is intimidating)
